New Database now available: Library of Latin Texts (LLT)

As of 2025, Library of Latin Texts (LLT) includes “167 million words across 12,149 works.” It covers secular and religious sources, dating from 3rd century BCE, through early and middle ages, to the reformation and beyond. LLT does not provide translations of the Latin texts.

The search engine supports logical and proximity operators (including a same sentence operator), and a similarity search (fuzzy search) for approximate matching. The search engine also supports various filters such as century of composition. The texts are not lemmatized, but if you type an ampersand (&) in front of any Latin form in the main search field, all inflected forms will be included. E.g., if you type &dominus instead of dominus, your query will retrieve inflected forms dominus, domine, dominum, etc.
